Imagine that one day a small plump man with a motor and a propeller on his back flies past your window with a buzz and says: “Hello! Can I land here for a minute? » This is how the heroes of one of the most popular children’s books, the Kid and Carlson, who lives on the roof, met. And it was written by Astrid Lindgren, a wonderful Swedish writer, author of thirty books for children, translated into almost all languages of the world. They were awarded the most prestigious prizes, including the Andersen gold medal («small Nobel»), feature films and cartoons based on them, and theatrical performances were staged.
