Probably, as long as humanity has existed, it has been dreaming about a meeting with an extraterrestrial civilization, with aliens. Most often, our imagination draws itself good-natured creatures, endowed with a much higher intelligence than we, who can give us some new knowledge, teach new technologies, in short, make our life better and more comfortable. But another scenario of the development of events is quite probable, such as described in the novel by H.G. Wells «The War of the Worlds.» When not friendly alien creatures landed near London, but aggressive Martians full of hatred, whose goal is to destroy all life on our planet.
