Early 1940s. The rise of Nazi Germany. A group of emigrants wanders along the roads of pre-war Europe. They move from country to country from border to border. Obtaining a residence permit is the only dream of these internally displaced persons. But if their homeland does not need them, they turn out to be superfluous in any other country. And yet, in spite of everything, even in this insanely difficult time, they remain people with a capital letter, people larger than their overseers and torturers. They love, they empathize, they just live.
