Anna Fox lives as a hermit in her New York home. About a year ago, she experienced extreme stress, so she cannot go out. Relatives left Anna, although she talks to them on the phone every day. And yet she wants to believe that
life will change for the better. She whiles away the time watching old films, recalls happy days, her favorite work … and from boredom sometimes spies on her neighbors. Once in the house located across the park, new tenants appear: a father, a mother, a teenage son. A prosperous, just perfect family. But one day Anna, pointing the camera lens out the window, sees a scene that shocks her — the scene of a brutal murder. The woman raises the alarm, but the neighbors refute everything she says. Nobody believes her — neither the police nor her friends — and her world begins to crumble … Then she decides to figure out on her own where the truth is and where the fiction is.
