About the product The edition of Volume II continues the publication of Karl Marx’s Capital. In it, the reader will find the theory of the circulation of material forms of capital, the famous schemes of social reproduction, as well as interesting arguments about the laws of circulation of capital under the conditions of the capitalist mode of production. When working on the edition, the experience of both classical Soviet editions and the latest German edition within the framework of the international project MEGA (2008) was taken into account. The text of Volume II is published with a revised translation of a number of passages and commentaries, cleared of tendentious assessments of previous years. It is accompanied by double pagination in the margins and an index of names updated from the latest German edition. The volume contains a large number of previously unpublished texts that do not belong to Marx, but are closely related to the problems of reproduction and circulation. They are grouped and form thematic sections, such as the intellectual context of Marx’s research, reviews of the publication of Volume II of Capital, the tradition of the circulation in Russian economic thought, dating back to M.I. Tugan-Baranovsky, a variety of variants of the theories of crises following from the theory of the market. Separate subsections include works by F. Quesnay, first translated into Russian, related to the use of the «Economic Table» in real life, as well as a selection of works by the talented economist and individual translator of «Capital» into Armenian, T.A. Avdalbegyan (1885-1937), in which Marx’s schemes of social reproduction are developed. An interesting essay by Acad. IN AND. Mayevsky, who devoted more than one decade to the study of the problems of Volume II. For economists, sociologists, historians of economic thought, graduate students and students, as well as anyone interested in the legacy of the classics of economic thought. …
